T.H.E. Journal Honors PRISM as a 2006 Innovator
PRISM has been named one of T.H.E. Journal’s 2006 Innovators. Selected
from over 200 nominees, PRISM and fourteen other entities are honored
in the December issue of T.H.E. Journal as Outstanding Educational Innovators of the Year.
The magazine states the winners were selected "for their shared belief
in the power of technology to foster student achievement, and the skill
to make it happen." PRISM Program Director, Dr. Patricia A. Carlson of
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, is quoted in the article as
saying, “PRISM has become the premier website for Indiana teachers of
sixth- to eighth-grade STEM. And although PRISM was designed for
classroom teachers, we have been surprised by the number of
home-schooling parents who are making use of our resources.”
